![Infinity IT-8500 Review: FIELD Tested Chair [Jun. 2022]](https://www.wellnessgeeky.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/it8500.jpg)
Infinity IT-8500 massage chair from Infinite Therapeutics is an upgrade from the already popular IT-8100 model.
It introduced a spinal correction features that, shoulder airbag massage, interwound technology (the speaker that faces inward), headphone jack, and more.
It is one of the few chairs that can fit and provide a great massage for someone with wide shoulders.
Also, the Infinity IT-8500 chair can fit someone as tall as 6'5" and as short as 5 feet.
If you have a wide-body frame and are also tall, 8500 is one of the few chairs available that can accommodate you.
Body scan technology (common on most high-end chairs) works as intended and will adjust to your body's composition.
One of the advanced features of this chair is that it features an upper-body airbag system with a swivel seat.
It will provide spinal correction as the seat swivels from side to side. We love this feature, because of how it feels during and after the massage session.
You can watch the following video (at 42 second mark) to see how it works:
The Roller system is capable of delivering 6 massage techniques. It is accomplished with 38 inches quad roller system. It has 2 heads at the top and 2 at the button.
When performing a kneading massage, you can adjust speed up to 5 different levels and 3 different width settings.
Also knocking, taping, music sync and shiatsu techniques will ensure that you get the kind of massage that you need in your particular situation.
When it comes to foot rollers, you can find 3 rollers located at the sole of your foot that have 3 levels of speed.
In addition to the 2 Zero Gravity positions that 8500 provides, it also adds a deep recline angle inversion position (head down / legs above the head).
In this position, you can use an extend program (deep tissue stretch technique) that will pull and press on the upper back and shoulders and at the same time pull the leg ottoman down to stretch the legs.
The music system features a USB port so you can download music to a USB drive and enjoy it while getting a massage.
It is not as easy to assemble as some other chairs we reviewed but it is doable. We still would advise ordering it with the White Glove Delivery option.
Save this page and watch this video for assembly instructions in case you decided not to get a White Glove Delivery option:
You are essentially getting many important features without paying $8,000+ for a chair.
Most Notable Features
- Quad S-track Rollers – IT-8500 has a pretty long 30’’ S-track that allows reaching further on your lower back and neck area.
- Zero–gravity – 2 zero-gravity positions with a full recline of the chair back that helps to decompress the spine more efficiently.
- Air-cell – complete body massage with 38 airbags, with superb hip sway and neck twisting. Plus spinal correction feature, when your shoulders are pressed by airbags and worked with rollers.
- Mechanical Foot Rollers – 3-foot rollers for stronger feet massage.

- Lumbar Heat – the must-have feature for low-back issues.
- Speakers and Mp3 Player – play your favorite music from a USB flash drive through built-in speakers or connect your headphones.
- The longest program – most chairs have programs ranging between 5-30 minutes. This chair allows you to run a program up to 45 minutes without returning to a vertical position, longer than any other chair on market.
- Equally comfortable for short and tall people – this chair is good for people ranging from 4’11’’ to 6’5’’. Tall people with wide shoulders (~22’’) will feel comfortable too.

The main drawback of this chair - it has no 3D roller, though the newer model IT-8500 3X (cost $1,000-1,500 more) has it, as well as Bluetooth connectivity (not present in IT-8500).
Otherwise, Infinity IT-8500 3X is pretty much the same chair as IT-8500, so take that into consideration in your buying decision.
Many buyers complain that the chair is bulky, heavy, and hard to assemble, so it’s better to have white-glove delivery.
Some users don’t like that chair is returning in an upright position after it finished a program, not giving a chance for the user to relax or nap after the session.
Outside of drawbacks, we've mentioned this chair is the absolute winner in this price range.
